Social Media Community Guidelines
Supporting our community with timely, accurate information is a top priority for us. As a department of the City of Tacoma, we serve more than 200,000 customers in Pierce and south King Counties, providing electricity from Tacoma Power and water from Tacoma Water, as well as rail service through Tacoma Rail. Our social media pages are an effective way to share information related to Tacoma Public Utilities and its services.
We encourage you to share thoughts related to the topic being discussed, ask questions about energy/water conservation and share your related stories. We expect all comments to be appropriate and respectful. We will not allow any hate speech, repetitive SPAM, off-topic postings, inaccurate information, or threats of personal/violent attacks. Any such content will be deleted and we reserve the right to block individuals from posting to our social media pages.
